St. Andrew’s Schools

St. Andrew’s Schools is Hawaii’s only coordinate school embracing learning differences between boys and girls by having two single-gender schools in one family. St. Andrew’s Priory School for Girls was founded by Queen Emma in 1867 and offers educational programs for girls K-12. The Prep School for Boys opened in 2014 and offers classes for boys K-5. St. Andrew’s Schools is located in city of Honolulu on the island of Oahu.

A transformational thinker and leader, Queen Emma founded St. Andrew’s Priory School for Girls (The Priory) in 1867, making it the oldest all girl school on Oʻahu. For more than 150 years, The Priory has aimed to develop confident learners, creative thinkers and compassionate leaders through an innovative and personalized educational program for girls, grades K to 12.

The Prep, opened in the fall of 2014 and offers single gender classes designed specifically for boys in grades K to 5. The classroom activities engage young boys in a learning environment that builds upon their strengths and interests.

Priory high school students enjoy a personalized schedule that is built around student interests, skill sets, and aspirations. Each student builds her schedule through one-on-one consultation with academic staff, choosing the best mix of online, iPriory, and face-to-face learning opportunities during the school day, whether it is in the classroom, at Hawaii Pacific University, or downtown workplace internships.

Stevens Global Leadership Program

Offers engaging and challenging learning experiences where students investigate their world, communicate and engage with audiences of diverse backgrounds, and take action to become powerful agents for peace.

Career Exploration & Readiness Program

Priory Physics Students Bring Awareness to Climate Change

Priory physics students Felisa Hollenbeak and Hypatia Pine were live this week on HPR discussing their part in the Blue Line Project last Saturday for Earth Day. The idea was to use blue chalk to mark the new flood inundation zones across the state, and bring awareness to climate change. Two Accomplished Students Give Planets Their Names

Their partnership was a fine if finite thing, but the lasting legacy of what Ariana Kim and Sree Kutty accomplished as high school science standouts now holds a permanent place in the night sky. After a year of processing, in late May two minor planets within the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter were given the names of the two 2016 St. Andrew’s Schools graduates. Read more.
